I came across a thought I had following after attending the Cherish Conference in Leeds one year which surprisingly provided a very timely reminder today🤔.
One thing I will admit though is that in as much as I enjoy attending this conference almost on an annual basis; it goes without saying in my opinion that their one way system around the whole town is rather daunting (and a little frustrating🤷🏽♀️) to say the least!😅 I kept thinking,”Why does it honestly take me, for example, 6 mins to get to a place which literally should just be a minute or 2 if I just took the straight road?!” 🤯
The more I pondered on this, I began to look at how this equates and applies to my own life and my relationship with God.We have the Bible; which is our manual to help us navigate through life. It provides us with the wisdom and guidance which not only is essential for our spiritual growth but our way of life.
With the advancement of technology, we are now more than ever before bombarded with some much information which is also very easily accessible. Sadly this has given rise to the “microwave mentality“. Everything has to happen now! We don’t need to search nor work that hard to find anything anymore! Resultantly, this has also left us with so many options that sometimes, knowing what to take in and what to leave alone has created blurred lines and uncertainty in various spheres of our lives.
One thing we do know for sure though is that despite whatever route we take, the word of God still provides clear guidance on what is the BEST way.Whether we take it or not, is really up to us.
When you miss a turn, you have to go through an alternative route to your destination. It might not necessarily be the quickest way nor the right way. You, however, eventually end up where you need to be only if you decide to get back on course. It is the same with our spiritual walk. We will mess up but if we go back to God with a repentant heart, He will forgive us and set us back in the right direction.
This year, challenge yourself to go God’s way. It may be hard to understand the direction He is taking you but you are guaranteed without a shadow of doubt that ALL THINGS will work out for your good!
Trust God. Trust the process. Trust what He allows. Let go of control and do it God’s way!
God loves you and so do I!❤

Soo true! Isaiah 55 vs 8: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways says the Lord. His ways are indeed the best even when it does not seem like it sometimes
