Winding paths

How does one miss the intended route and dare I say ask with a navigation sytem to hand?🤔🤯 If the route is clearly laid out for you, it should be easy to just follow. It sounds pretty obvious right?

Oftentimes I set my route to work on google maps not necessarily because I don’t know where I am going. I know exactly where I am going and what the best route to take is. I set the navigation to ensure that there are no roadblocks or traffic on my intended route. On the off chance that these obstacles might be present, using the app will most certainly get me to my destination via the quickest route.

On Monday, I noticed that something was different. I couldn’t understand why this app I have grown to trust and consider very reliable would keep taking me down a road I most definitely knew wasn’t the right one!As I knew where I was going, I simply switch off the app and continued with my journey. I concluded that it may have been just a glitch and would reset if I left for a while🤷🏽‍♀️.

When this happened again the next day, it was then I realised that there was a problem which I was intent on getting to the bottom of. I must admit that I was getting a little bit frustrated and kept thinking: “The instructions are clear so why is it bent on going the wrong way?! It’s confusion doesn’t make any sense!” (Sidenote, it must be the same with God and us. We have the manual i.e. the Bible but how often do we go and do our own thing outside of the instructions He gave us?😔)

Anyway, so whilst I was still pondering on where this glitch may be coming from, I had a thought to check the postcode I had entered…

It was only then that I discovered that I was going the wrong way because I had entered an incorrect postcode!😩 So one could argue that technically the destination which maps was taking me to was right all along. However, it wasn’t right from my perspective because my vision for my end point was different!

It is the same with our faith. We can interpret a scripture or a word from God one way and yet God might be leading us a completely different path. Now the key is to make sure that you are on the same page with God about it! Check with God often in whatever you do. This is why it’s so important to pray and surrender our will to God’s will. This helps align our viewpoint with His.

I only realised the error of my actions because I was attentive enough to the instructions so I quickly realised something wasn’t right. I decided to go back to the source. What if I had missed it? Always remember to go back to the source! Do whatever is necessary to get back on track.

You cannot live a sanctified life without first committing your life to God.

You can’t heal from what you won’t confront.

You can’t have financial freedom until you start making good financial decisions.

You can’t have great relationships without putting in the effort to make them work.

If you have a destination in mind, you have to ensure that you have the right starting point. It’s impossible to get to the right end point if your starting point hasn’t been set correctly.

God loves you and so do I ❤.

“Revelation is a day to day experience which only occurs when YOUR spirit man is in sync with God which only occurs when YOU fellowship with God on a daily basis.. How is your spirit man these days? #powerful word#”
