An Encounter with Jesus

To experience a true encounter with Jesus, everything which doesn’t measure if to His likeness has to be stripped away…

Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
Acts 9:8‭-‬9 NKJV

I believe the 3 days mentioned in the above scripture talk about a period of realignment and cleansing. Saul’ vision had to be corrected so that he could start seeing with the lense of Jesus. He had to start as an empty vessel to prepare for the ministry ahead which had to start in the spiritual realm. It was only in the spirit where he could find satisfactory sustenance which would eventually flow to a physical manifestation.

Sometimes seemily detours in life end up leading you to where you were meant to be. If Paul knew he would meet Jesus on the way to persecute the very people Jesus came to save, would he have gone that road? Would he have had courage to go?

Our future is not known and neither is it guaranteed. What we can certainly be sure if is that Jesus will ALWAYS neet us on the other end if our hearts have been surrendered to him.
