“[14] Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 NLTā¬
This past week, the constant thought I have had running through my mind is on motives and the state of our hearts:
What drives us? Is it selfish ambitions or do they stem from a deep-rooted desire to help others?
What influences our actions and our response to situations?
Importantly, what is God saying?
It is imperative for our decisions to be based on the leading of the Holy Spirit not our own ideas of what good looks like. Our lives should be a sequence of God ideasš”.
I challenge you this week to ask God to search your heart and look at your motivations. Listen to what God says about it and act accordingly.
Sometimes we think God isn’t listening but for some of us, it is because we are not taking time to stop talking and actually listen. For otgers this might mean slowing down your pace; whilst for others, this might mean creating time in your daily schedule to fellowship with God. He is there waiting for youš.
God loves you and so do I ā¤ļø.
