I have often realised that when the road gets tough, it is difficult to feel a connection with God. You are confused and you do not understand ‘why’ you are going through whatever mess it is. So below, I wrote what I thought God would say to you after pouring out your heart to him:
“Conversations with Dad”
You have grown and matured
and now you are ready to go to the next level.
Sit and glean from me my child.
In this world you will have many troubles,
but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.
Nothing will shake you unless you depart from the law
I have given you.
Remember, perfect love drives out fear.
I have not given you a spirit of fear
but of power, love and a sound mind.
Be weary of the cunning ways of the devil.
He has devised detours to distract you from fulfilling
what I have called you to do.
He prowls around like a roaring lion
looking for someone to devour.
He will by no means HARM you!
So take heart and be encouraged.
The journey will be hard,
You will have various obstacles to face,
BUT you have to persevere,
he who endures to the end will be saved.
I will direct your path.
I am a lamp unto your feet and a light to your path.
Soak on my word,
Meditate on it day and night that you may observe to do
according to all that is written in it.
As I await for your arrival at the finishing line,
always know I am with you,
you are never alone.
If you need me,
all you have to do is call…I love you..’

I love this! It’s funny how we forget to think of God from this relational dimension … taking notes for my reflection and prayer time!🙏🏽

So true! Oftentimes when storms hit, we enter into panick mode and try to fix the situation on our own but praise be to God who causes us to triumph if we only but seek and trust him to see us through 🙂
