Have you ever had those moments when something happens in your life and you are constantly scratching your head saying,”Lord…I don’t get!It just doesn’t make any sense!😩”…
As I have grown in the Lord,I seem to experience these moments more often than I can count!Do you,like me constantly ask,”God,why can’t you just tell me the direction of how this is going,well…so that I am better prepared?!” I have to catch myself after such thoughts because I realised that truth be told,if God were to show us even a glimpse of what He has planned for our lives,it will just blow our minds…or even scare us straight!
The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:23,”The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord and He deliteth in his way”.How wonderful is it to know that when you are in Christ,you are under a divine covering!Whatever happens to you is not by chance.It is God who allows it for a greater purpose. Even times when the enemy sets a trap for you,God will protect you and deliver you from every single weapon fashioned against you!
In 2 Corinthians 5:7,Paul talks about “walking by faith and not by sight”.It is kind of like blind faith.I believe,however,that this concept should I say only works if you trust the one who is leading you.Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart,and lean not on your own understanding.In all thy ways,acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths”.
You cannot stop and start reasoning God’s instructions until it makes sense then advance!It does not work that way.You should say instead,”Lord,even when it does not make sense,I will do it because I trust you”…
God knew you before you were even born.Nothing about your life is a surprise to him.How much rest and confidence should you have in the One who knows everything about you?The Author and finisher of your faith?The Alpha and Omega?
As for me and my house,we will trust God…even when it doesn’t make sense :-).
