Nothing Wasted

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord , ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope“. Jeremiah 29:11 AMP

Happy new year!🎉 I cannot believe we are already in February. Where is the time going?🤯.

Well, here we are and thank God we weathered through the challenges of 2020!🙌🏽🥳 It is safe to say that 2020 was a lot for us and truthfully, on occasions, very much overwhelming! I know I certainly felt that😅. However, I am especially grateful that despite everything I went through, God brought me through! He was my provider, my comforter, my strength, my joy and my peace. God was whoever I needed Him to be in every situation I encountered.

The more I ponder on the events of 2020, the more I realise that everything I have been through, has certainly shaped me to be the person I am today. For this year, I have decided not to put pressure on myself to appear ‘perfect’ and have it all figured out. I am going to be ok:

  • even if everything isn’t figured out. I am going to take all my cares and concerns to God in prayer.
  • even if things are not falling into my “perceived timeline”. I am going to be mindful of how God’s timing is always best.
  • even if I get frustrated by life and get caught up in my feelings. I will remind myself to acknowledge my current state and to channel all my feelings to God in prayer and read what the Bible says about that situation instead.
  • even after I make mistakes because I am not perfect. I will repent, ask for God’s forgiveness and make a resolve in my heart to walk as God intended.

2021 is a gift from God and He has allowed us to see this year because there is still more for us He wants us to do! God has a plan and a purpose for our lives so let us not waste anything but rather, live out our lives for the glory of God.

God loves you & so do I!❤
